Escape Hatch ("the App") is developed by Tumblefern, Inc. ("Tumblefern," "we," "us," or "our") under our Product Lab venture. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information. By downloading or using Escape Hatch, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Summary
Escape Hatch does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information. All calculations happen entirely on your device. We have no server, no user accounts, and no analytics or advertising SDKs built into the App.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, and the App does not transmit to us or any third party:
- Your name, email address, or other contact information
- Financial account numbers, balances, or linked accounts
- Location data
- Contacts, photos, or other device content
- Advertising identifiers or analytics/usage tracking data
The App has no account creation or sign-in, and does not require an internet connection to perform its core calculations.
3. Information You Enter
Values you enter into Escape Hatch — such as starting balance, contribution amount, interest rate, time horizon, inflation assumptions, and payout estimates — are used only to generate projections within the App. These inputs, along with any saved scenarios or calculator history, are stored locally on your device (for example, using standard iOS on-device storage) and are never transmitted to Tumblefern or any third party. If you delete the App, this locally stored data is removed with it.
4. Shareable Projection Summaries
Escape Hatch lets you generate a shareable summary of a projection and share it using your device's native share sheet (for example, via Messages, Mail, or another app you choose). When you use this feature, you control where the summary goes — it is shared directly from your device through the destination you select. Tumblefern does not receive, store, or have access to shared summaries.
5. Third-Party Services
Escape Hatch does not integrate third-party advertising networks, analytics platforms, or data brokers. If a future version of the App adds any such integration, we will update this policy in advance and, where required, request your consent before the change takes effect.
6. Children's Privacy
Escape Hatch is not directed at children under 13, and because the App collects no personal information from any user, no personal information is knowingly collected from children.
7. Your Choices
Because no personal information is collected or stored outside your device, there is no account data for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. You can clear all in-app data at any time by deleting the App from your device.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected in an updated "Last Updated" date above, and where required by Apple App Store guidelines or applicable law, we will provide additional notice.
9. Educational Purpose Disclaimer
Escape Hatch is provided for educational and planning purposes only. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, or retirement advice, and its projections are estimates based on the assumptions you enter — not guarantees of future results. Consult a qualified financial, tax, or legal professional before making decisions based on information from the App.
